INTEGRA Biosciences, suppliers of innovative equipment to laboratories worldwide, have announced that sales of their distinctive PIPETBOY Comfort pipette range look set to double this year.

Reflecting upon this positive trend, Torbjorn Gripp (Sales Director at INTEGRA Biosciences) commented ‘customers have appreciated the lightweight and ergonomic contouring of the PIPETBOY Comfort - meaning users, even with small hands, have found a pipette they can use all day and remain fatigue-free’. Available in a choice of distinctive colours (Volcano Red, Sahara Yellow, Pacific Blue, Royal Blue and Classic Green) the PIPETBOY Comfort provides a simple, yet highly effective means of visually differentiating pipettes by person, laboratory or even the project they are used in. Mr Gripp noted ‘this useful feature has been well received by researchers faced with the need for securer sample audit trail and a desire to minimise the chances of cross contamination’.

Designed for comfortable single handed pipetting in the 1-50 millilitre volume range the PIPETBOY Comfort ensures precise and safe operation for applications ranging from rapid pipetting to sensitive precision dosing.

Unlike other lower cost pipetting devices the PIPETBOY Comfort has in-built features to prevent accidental misuse. Incorporating a sterile PTFE-membrane filter the PIPETBOY Comfort prevents contamination from overfilling as the penetration of liquid is prevented. In addition the PIPETBOY Comfort will not squirt out under pressure even if a filled pipette is unintentionally aspirated. Incorporating a silicone pipette mount the PIPETBOY Comfort guarantees a sure grip with all commercially available glass and plastic pipettes from 1ml to 50 ml. For sensitive samples all parts of the PIPETBOY Comfort that come into contact with liquid can be autoclaved clean at 121 °C for 20 minutes.
