INTEGRA Biosciences has announced the launch of a new state-of-the-art programmable peristaltic pump. The new generation DOSE IT pump is designed to make the dispensing of culture media, buffers and other solutions easy and efficient.

An intuitive multilingual user interface, coupled with large ergonomically designed display and keypad, makes the DOSE IT pump extremely simple to program and operate. Twenty different dosing protocols can be saved and recalled at the press of a button. The setting of all functions and parameters is self-explanatory so that even infrequent users can start working almost immediately. Positioned for easy tube loading a flip-top pump head further reduces the time required for pump preparation and set-up. The simple programming and straightforward operation of the DOSE IT pump make it ideal for laboratories where different dispensing protocols are frequently used and interchanged.

A broad range of dose volumes (0.1 ml - 10 lL) can be dispensed with high accuracy since the DOSE IT is compatible with differently sized tubing: from thin (1 mm) tubing for dispensing small doses to wide bore (8 mm) tubing for high-throughput pumping. The flow rate of the standard DOSE IT pump (0.6 ml / min - 5 l L/ min) can be doubled by using a second pump head, a modification that also reduces flow pulsation. The versatility of the DOSE IT reduces the need for a laboratory to have several single-purpose pumps.

The DOSE IT pump provides all the features necessary to support good laboratory quality control practices. All process relevant information can be documented using a standard label printer or archived by directly transferring the information to a personal computer.

With its very small footprint the DOSE IT pump is economical on valuable bench space. Being lightweight the pump is also very easy to move between laboratories. Its smooth and rounded surface makes the DOSE IT pump very easy to clean.
