A Regional Sales Manager for Integra Biosciences, is responsible for managing a team of salespeople in a certain geographical region.
Your responsibilities
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training new sales team members to so as to sustain continued growth in their region
- RSM's also retain a small direct sales territory in which they sell products and services on a regular basis
- Other primary duties include traveling with direct reports for the purpose of assessing their capabilities and also to mentor and provide first-hand sales training and know-how to new sales associates
- Establish and communicate specific goals and expectations to their team members.
- Provide the necessary training support and constant feedback to enhance the selling skills of all team members in their region.
- Ensure the delivery of sales targets through individual recognition, performance reviews and training of people
- Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of the company’s relationship with them
- Analyze the individual sales performance of direct reports through frequent monitoring, observation and by providing prompt, consistent feedback to staff members.
- Provide Sr. managers with monthly reporting of how your time was spent in the field.
- Develop field sales action plans to facilitate the achievement of the overall regional sales goal
- Submit monthly, a team pipeline of capital equipment to close and develop sales quotas/targets for territories and the region
- Keep current with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand and competitors to maintain sales volume and product mix.
- Positively contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results while training new sales team members
- Provide the necessary support to staff members to enable them to generate market leads and close new deals effectively
- Document customer interactions and maintain data related to activities, accounts and partners in SFDC (CRM)
- Ensure the effectiveness of cross-selling activities to existing customer accounts by guiding and showing employees how this is done
- Uplift the regional sales volume to its possible best
- Organize and participate in the training of new team members
- Develop and review long- and short-term sales goals
- Participate in interviews and the processes of recruiting new employees
- Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field a plus
- Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or similar senior sales role from the New England area
- Experience using sales tracking software
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
