Proven performance in sequencing workflows

MAGFLO NGS magnetic beads were compared to industry gold standard beads for size selection during NGS library preparation, using Illumina MiSeq amplicon sequencing of 16S rRNA and ITS2 from a defined microbial community. The study found that both bead types deliver similar performance in key metrics – including sequencing read count, quality scores and fragment profiles – with no detectable bias in microbial diversity analysis. These results demonstrate that MAGFLO NGS beads are interchangeable with other beads in complex amplicon workflows, offering a cost-effective alternative without compromising sequencing quality or reproducibility.
