These awkward positions can make it difficult to maintain focus and precision, increasing the risk of errors and extending the time tasks take, frustrating users. On top of this, frequent filter changes due to overfilling and contamination can slow down productivity and reduce efficiency, making even simple tasks more tedious.

Fast and intelligent serological pipetting
It’s not necessary to monitor graduations when performing repeat dispensing with the PIPETBOY GENIUS and INTEGRA serological pipets, so you can pipette aliquots faster. Simply define your desired aliquot volume and dispense it multiple times at the push of a button from a single aspiration. The dosing function of the device is also usually more precise than dispensing by eye. To evaluate the performance of the PIPETBOY GENIUS, we compared it with a traditional pipet controller for dispensing 10 aliquots of varying volumes of water. We measured total dispensing time, precision (mean volume dispensed) and accuracy (standard deviation between replicates).
The results showed significant time savings of up to 58 % across different pipetting volumes in comparison to using a traditional pipet controller (Figure 1).
The mean volumes of the dispensed aliquots (accuracy) were comparable for the PIPETBOY GENIUS and the traditional pipet controller but all dispense volumes had larger standard deviations when using the traditional pipet controller compared to the PIPETBOY GENIUS, with the difference being greater at lower volumes (Table 1). The PIPETBOY GENIUS therefore demonstrated consistently lower variability in volumes dispensed, allowing more precise and reproducible liquid handling.

These results clearly illustrate the efficiency gains possible when using the PIPETBOY GENIUS instead of a traditional serological pipet controller, highlighting how the device enables users to complete pipetting tasks more quickly while still achieving highly precise results.
