Direct Relief provides protective gear and critical care medications to as many healthcare workers as possible, coordinating with public health authorities, epidemiologists, nonprofit organizations and businesses. Since January, Direct Relief has delivered more than 46 million particle filtering breathing and surgical masks, 8 million gloves, 2 million face shields and thousands of protective suits and other items to help safeguard health workers. The organization has also provided more than $36 million in financial support to healthcare facilities responding to the pandemic.
