How electronic pipettes can ease the transition to automation

Throughput is a measurement of the rate of productivity so, in terms of science, it could be how many experiments are conducted or results are obtained in a defined amount of time. Manual handling is one of the greatest limitations to throughput, as research is constrained by the size and efficiency of the labor-force, and the quantity or quality of available equipment. The manual manipulation of samples also increases the incidence of human error and limits the reproducibility of tasks, with the technique and skill of the laboratory worker having an impact.
