Marlene is a Product Manager for pipette controllers and vacuum aspiration systems. As a biotechnology engineer, Marlene first focused on the engineering and cultivation of bacteria, before turning to yeasts and, ultimately, cell culture. This transition led to a slow decrease in odor problems in the lab but, in 2011, she nevertheless decided to leave the lab entirely to work in product management. Her expertise gained through working in different scientific areas helps her contribute to innovative products that make lab professionals' hectic workdays easier. And instead of taking care of microorganisms and cells, she now spoils her cat. Outside of work, she likes to ride her bike on warm, sunny days, and goes snowshoeing in winter.
