Tips for preventing contamination in cell culture

Any scientists that routinely perform cell culture are acutely aware of the damage that can be caused by the contamination of their cultures. There are two sources of contamination that researchers are most concerned with; one is biological contamination by microorganisms, and the other is cross-contamination between different cell lines. Both of these can have a colossal impact on the reliability of results and cell viability.
